2008 learning and development program of public courses

The 2008 program offers a range of new courses designed in consultation with both central and line agencies to build skills and capabilities across the public sector and to support the implementation of the NSW State Plan.

A course specifically aimed at achieving the State Plan is Achieving new directions: generating and applying ideas that make a difference, a 2-day workshop that turns creativity into practical solutions.

The 2008 program also include a new Diploma, the Diploma of Government (Policy Development) PSP51404 (in partnership with Major Training Services RTO ID No 90748) and a range of new courses on public sector procedures, including Records Management, Conducting investigations, Writing Cabinet minutes and briefs and Understanding the public sector.

Three new courses conducted under licence include the Springboard women’s development program, Superworking®: how to achieve peak performance without stress and Organisational savvy.

Responding to workforce planning issues, we have included a course for managers of mature aged workers, Success strategies for managing the Boomers and beyond, and also one for mature aged workers themselves, Doing more than ‘hanging in’: strategies for older workers.
