Browser and Acrobat downloads
If you wish to download a PDF to read or print later, on a Mac, option
click the link to initiate a download. On a PC, right mouse click.
How to refresh your browser to see latest updates
If you feel that you are not seeing the latest version of a page
it may be because you, your network, or someone upstream is storing
older information. This is done to save Internet bandwidth. You can
force your browser to refresh Internet pages as follows:
- Windows: in IE hold down control key while hitting the refresh
button or use the function key F5.
- Macintosh: shift refresh.
How to print pages
Internet Explorer gives you options to print web pages in a number
of ways. You can go to page set up to see them. The default is to shrink
pages to fit, which is usually the best.
How to print popups
Popup
windows sometimes don't have the print icon in the top bar.
You can still print these pages in windows by choosing "print" from
the file menu.
You can also use the shortcut "Control P" as shown in this illustration.
Many documents are supplied in PDF for easy printing.
How to bookmark pages
If you want to create a shortcut for yourself so that you can visit
a page inside the site without having to go to the home page, you can
create a bookmark. In Netscape, add bookmark from the Bookmarks menu.
In Internet Explorer bookmarks are called "Favourites".
