Matthew Schroder

Matthew Schroder is currently an Advisor, Executive Services, Performance & Development, Public Service Commission. Prior to commencing the role, Matthew worked in the emergency services and volunteering fields. He joined the public service in 2007 as a Media Officer in the NSW Rural Fire Service, and gained experience in corporate planning and research, before being seconded to the Volunteering Unit within the Office of Communities.
 
His experience in working across a number of different government departments and sectors, has shown him the capacity for young professionals to proactively and substantively contribute to the public sector and service delivery. He believes that engaged and active young professionals can greatly enhance both the sector and the role of IPAA as a professional association.

Matthew has been a Co-Convenor of the IPAA NSW Young Professionals Special Interest Group and is a strong advocate for the role of young professionals in IPAA and of IPAA's role in the sector.
