CEO & mature professionals breakfast -
Knowledge sharing and sustainability
At the Ageing Workforce conference in October 2010, it was noted that the NSW Government 2010 Retirement Intentions Survey showed that 61% of respondents felt nothing was being done to transfer knowledge, pre retirement.
The NSW Department of Premier & Cabinet, in conjuction with IPAA NSW and SageCo, is sponsoring the inaugural CEO and mature professionals breakfast this year to support workforce planning, succession management and building future capability in the NSW Public Sector.
This breakfast event is aimed at government agencies interested in developing strategies to share the knowledge, experience and technical expertise of their experienced staff with future generations of the workforce. The event will feature case studies and some lightly facilitated activities to help long tenue staff consider strategies.
Participating agencies will receive a 12-months license to use a new knowledge toolkit being launched at the Breakfast.
Agencies are invited to book one or more tables. Each table of 10 will be hosted by a Director General or Chief Executive and the agency's HR Director or equivalent. They will be accompanied by eight long tenure, highly valued subject matter experts on the agency's staff. There will also be half tables of 5 available for small agencies.
