IPAA NSW announces the winners of the Awards for Excellence (9 May)
Peter Achterstraat, President of the Institute of Public Administration Australia (NSW Division) last night announced the winners of the 2013 Awards for Individual Excellence at a Gala Awards Ceremony in Sydney.

IPAA NSW celebrates public administration excellence (11 December)
The Institute of Public Administration Australia (NSW Division) recently presented two prestigious awards for academic achievement in public administration.
IPAA NSW welcomes new board members (23 November)
IPAA NSW has announced the appointment of Robert Alder, Nivek Thompson and Clare Huxley to the IPAA NSW Council, its governing and policy-making body. Mr Alder and Ms Thompson have been appointed Councillors and Ms Huxley has been appointed Young Councillor. Carolyn Burlew and Madeleine Culbert – two of the Institute’s Vice Presidents – were successful in securing another two-year term.
Former Premier of Queensland to present IPAA NSW 2012 Spann Oration
(1 November)
The Institute of Public Administration Australia (NSW Division) has announced Anna Bligh, the former Premier of Queensland, as its 2012 Spann Orator. Ms Bligh will address 150 public administrators on 20 November at Parliament House in Sydney.
IPAA NSW launches new Services Guide (1 November)
The Institute of Public Administration Australia (NSW Division) has launched its new Services Guide with some significant changes for 2013. More than just a course listing, the new Guide showcases IPAA NSW as the professional association of the public sector and highlights the broad spectrum of
activities for members and non-members alike.
Public servants honoured at prestigious awards ceremony (19 September)
Public administrators and academics from across Australia were honoured today at the 2012 IPAA National Awards Ceremony in Melbourne. The Awards Ceremony was held in conjunction with the IPAA 2012 International Congress.

Peter Thompson of ABC Talking Heads fame to facilitate IPAA NSW State Conference (6 July 2012)
The Institute of Public Administration Australia (NSW Division) has announced that Australian broadcast journalist and educator Peter Thompson will facilitate the 2012 IPAA NSW State Conference. Peter is an Adjunct Professor at Macquarie University and was the presenter of the ABC's Talking Heads program from 2005 until 2011.
IPAA launches new national website (6 July 2012)
The Institute of Public Administration Australia – the nationwide professional association of the public sector – has launched a new national website to promote events and professional development services to public administrators across Australia.
IPAA awards Nicholas Findlater with the GC Remington Prize (15 June 2012)
Nicholas Findlater, a student at the University of Sydney, has been awarded the IPAA NSW GC Remington Prize for his academic achievements.The GC Remington prize is awarded in memory of the co-founder of the NSW Division of the Institute of Public Administration Australia.

IPAA calls on governments to get serious on service (30 November 2011)
A policy discussion paper released today by the Institute of Public
Administration Australia (IPAA) found that there are few national, state or local government agencies with publicly disclosed service strategies that match best practice internationally. Moreover, except for South Australia and to some extent the Commonwealth, it’s hard to find directives and guidelines on preparing comprehensive and integrated strategies for delivering public services.
