Our suite of programs is arranged alphabetically (see list on right) and matched to three capability streams – organisational culture, direction, capacity to deliver – adapted from the NSW Public Sector Capability Framework.
The content of each course is based on research conducted with public sector organisations, and supports current Government policy directions.
In addition, the Institute, in partnership with Registered Training Organisation - Major Training Services, offers a range of VETAB-endorsed public service qualifications to complement individual development requirements and organisational workforce planning and development priorities.

Our approach to learning
IPAA NSW understands that adults learn best when the course content is directly relevant to their needs and when theory is reinforced in interactive sessions and practical exercises.
Our facilitators apply the principles of adult learning when delivering training programs. This approach incorporates action learning that builds on and uses participants’ prior knowledge and experience. The skills, knowledge and tools developed in the programs can be taken back to the workplace and applied immediately.
About our facilitators
Facilitators engaged by IPAA NSW have extensive experience working with Government organisations. As well as being experts in their fields, they have held senior management positions in the public sector. This background enables them to respond to the issues raised by participants, and provide practical examples and case studies.
