The 12th National Investigations Symposium (NIS) will be held in November at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney. Since it began in 1996, this premium biennial event has attracted the participation of several hundred delegates from across Australia and abroad.

The two-day symposium is an opportunity for a range of practitioners – including investigators, internal auditors, lawyers, senior police officers and complaint-handlers – to increase and share their investigative knowledge, skills and techniques. The NIS also offers networking opportunities that allow delegates to foster and establish new contacts and maintain existing ones, and while accessing the latest products and services from the exhibitor stalls.

The NIS is a joint initiative of the NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption, the NSW Ombudsman and the Institute of Public Administration Australia NSW.

The preliminary 2018 program includes local and international experts and practitioners.

The two days are arranged across four concurrent streams on topics such as forensics and technology, challenging investigations, investigations involving vulnerable people and whistleblowing.

To see a list of confirmed speakers, please click on the Speaker tab on the NIS website.

• access to the 2018 program on both 14 and 15 November
• morning and afternoon teas, and lunch for both days
• attendance at the opening drinks and dinner on 14 November
• attendance at the closing drinks on 15 November.

If you cannot attend both days, register for the day rate at $799.
