Making a difference for our citizens

ABOUT THIS EVENT

Effective governments use their resources well to deliver results for their citizens. While it is easy to make promises to people, it is far harder to turn these promises into results that matter.

Over the last twelve months, IPAA NSW has presented a series of events exploring how deliverology is helping the NSW public sector deliver meaningful results.

Deliverology® focuses around four pillars: Data, Fieldwork, Targeted Actions and Routines.

Throughout 2019, IPAA will present a series of masterclasses dedicated to each of the four pillars.  These masterclasses are designed to support you to learn and use Deliverology® tools and apply them to your work to achieve real results.

Each masterclass includes three main components:

Learn: Unique access to the founders of Deliverology® as you learn the fundamentals and gain unique insights into how the best governments in the world deliver results.
Collaborate: Share with and challenge each other in live sessions as you apply Deliverology® surrounded by like-minded people who are passionate about helping citizens.
Implement: Apply what you’ve learned to your own real-life projects, with the ongoing support of a personal coach so you can begin to see real results.

Research shows that most personal development happens on the job, in the context of real successes that you achieve while doing real work.  IPAA’s masterclass series embraces this principle and is rooted in the practical, day-to-day challenges you face in the NSW public sector.

Registration includes a facilitated half-day masterclass structured around one of the four pillars of NSW Deliverology® and a 30-minute follow up personal coaching session. Registration also provides you with access to the NSW Deliverology® Online Learning Portal which includes practical online modules and supporting templates that you can use in your delivery.

The first masterclass on 13 February 2019 will focus on Data.

Participants in the Data masterclass will:

• Gain a thorough understanding of what makes an effective goal, success metric, target, and trajectory
• Identify metrics and targets for tracking progress
• Create a trajectory and use it to track progress towards targets
• Plan for collecting and using data to track progress and maximise impact.

The second masterclass on 14 February 2019 will focus on Fieldwork.

Participants in the Fieldwork masterclass will:

• Gain a thorough understanding of the importance of fieldwork and how it can support improved outcomes
• Understand how to prepare for and conduct fieldwork and how to use the results to improve performance
• Plan to conduct fieldwork.

The third and fourth masterclasses focusing on Targeted Actions and Routines respectively will be held in the mid-2019.

Those who enrol in both February masterclasses are eligible for 20% discount on registration fees, which is equivalent to a savings of $798.

Participants who complete all four masterclasses and an additional assessment will be eligible to apply for Deliverology® belts.
