Lessons to my younger self: Four senior leaders share their public sector career advice

ABOUT THIS EVENT

Have you ever wondered what it takes to succeed in the public sector?

Lessons to my younger self, IPAA’s inaugural Young Professionals forum is an opportunity to hear four of NSW’s most senior public sector leaders reflect on their professional and personal lives and share what they wish they had known sooner.

At the Forum, frank observations and advice on building your public sector career will be provided by:

• Tim Reardon, Secretary, Department of Premier and Cabinet
• Martin Hoffman, Secretary, Department of Finance, Services and Innovation
• Alison Frame, Deputy Secretary, Department of Planning and Environment
• Georgina Harrison, Deputy Secretary, Department of Education

With ticket prices starting at $35 including a cocktail reception and canapés, this will be a popular event so register now to secure your place.

This event reflects IPAA NSW’s major strategic priority of developing the next generation of leaders.

WHY YOU SHOULD ATTEND

The evening is an invaluable chance for young professionals (aged 34 and younger) to connect with other young professionals who are interested and engaged in the NSW public sector.

At least 30% of this event is allocated to questions from the floor and networking, meaning that you will have the opportunity to play an active part in this discussion while building your relationships across the sector.

All IPAA events include purposeful networking which allows you to:

• Build relationships with the speaker/s and fellow guests
• Develop your capabilities
• Establish connections across the NSW public sector.
