If collaboration is so important, why doesn’t it happen more often?

Collaboration does more than just improve our ability to problem solve. It brings new groups of people together and encourages them to learn from each other. It boosts morale and encourages staff retention and makes us all more efficient.

Yet despite these clear benefits, the tools and practices that encourage good collaboration are often ignored or reduced to just putting people in a room together with butcher’s paper.

The practical masterclass will show you how you can shape your workplace and work practices in ways that will encourage and support collaboration.

WHAT WILL I GAIN

This masterclass will introduce you to ‘hosting’ as a way to change ineffective meetings into engaging events where stakeholders do their best thinking and solve complex challenges. It will show you how to generate engagement and participation in meetings and lift the collective wisdom of a group/team to a new levels. Using these tools you will be able to create a work environment that can help you and your wider network of colleagues to come up with new ideas and develop solutions to complex problems.

WHAT WILL I LEARN

This session is focused on learning by doing and will be delivered using the same underlying philosophy that you can use to encourage collaboration in your workplace.

It will be facilitated by two experts who each have a deep practical and theoretical understanding of workplace collaboration in theory and practice.

A key opportunity in this masterclass will be for you to discuss a collaboration challenge that you are facing in your workplace and work on it with your peers.

PRE-WORK

Please come to the course with a specific example of a problem that you think needs a collaboratively developed solution.
