Important information for online learners

Online learning is a crucial element of modern living, especially during this pandemic.

It is important that you prepare your environment for online learning by doing the following:

  • Make sure you have the right technology including high-speed internet connection and a modern computer/ laptop
  • Set up your study space
  • Hope for the best but prepare for the worst (by knowing how you will react if you lose power, your technology fails etc)
  • Know who to ask for help.

Troubleshooting

If there is a failure in the facilitator’s technology they will inform you and steps will be taken to fix the problem.

If there is a failure in your technology then you will need to fix it (don’t distract the facilitator with your personal problems).

If you do not know how to use the technology or your skills are lacking, it is your personal responsibility to be ready for online learning.
