IPAA NSW Young Professionals is a group of members who work together to identify areas that will support the professional and personal development of tomorrow's public sector leaders. The Young Professionals Network arranges events of special interest to those members who are 34 years of age and under.

Aims and objectives

  • Connect - To offer a platform through which young professionals that work in government, are associated with or interested in the public sector can maintain and expand their professional circles and peer networks.
  • Grow - To catalyse, build and promote development opportunities for young professionals engaged with the public sector.
  • Lead - To enable young professionals driven to create public value to build their leadership capabilities outside of the workplace.

In addition the two Young Professional Councillors provide younger members with a direct link to the IPAA NSW Council and offer an effective way to progress issues they consider significant.

Program of events

Key activities being planned by the group include the annual CEO and Young Professionals Breakfast and various other opportunities to network and socialise. Young Professionals events are advertised to all eligible members through the IPAA website.
