The NSW government has identified 11 Economic Recovery Priorities that will be central to the repairing the economic and social damage caused by COVID. 

A central theme across all 11 Priorities is the opportunity to reshape public sector services for the future, with all the priorities involving two or more agencies in driving delivery. 

This event is an opportunity for you to hear directly from two of the architects of the Economic Recovery Priorities and get an exclusive overview of how they will reshape the work of the public sector. 

ABOUT THIS EVENT
At this event, Amy will take stock of the economic recovery to date and showcase some early wins from the priorities. 

They will also share their thoughts on how the priorities will shape the future of NSW and the public sector.

This event is part of IPAA’s Doing things differently series which has been developed to help support the development of a world class public sector.

The series is offered free of charge to IPAA NSW Professional and Affiliate members as part of agreements that IPAA NSW has in place with each individual cluster.

Amy Brown

Amy Brown is passionate about enabling access to opportunities for individuals via a strong economy, healthy communities, and high-quality government services. She also believes in the power of partnership between Government, the private sector, NGO’s and educational institutions to drive outcomes and deliver value for taxpayers.
Prior to becoming Chief Executive Officer of Investment NSW, Amy was Deputy Secretary and head of the Strategy and Delivery group at the Department of Premier and Cabinet – a group formed to provide expert commercial, strategic and economic advice to the Premier on major and complex whole-of-government policies, programs and projects.
Amy has also been a Partner in the Sydney office of PwC’s Infrastructure and Urban Renewal Business, worked in infrastructure finance at NSW Treasury and as an infrastructure lawyer in a number of top tier law firms.

 

John Hubby
IPAA NSW Vice President

In March 2017 John Hubby commenced in the position of Deputy Secretary Corporate Services at the Department of Family and Community Services (FACS). In this role John is responsible for the organisation’s “enabling pillar” of corporate functions. John brings to this role a track record of implementing major reform in public and private sector organisations and is leading the transformation of corporate and governance functions responsive to the many changes in FACS’ service delivery model.
Prior to this John Hubby held the position of Deputy Secretary Government and Corporate Services at the Department of Finance, Services & Innovation (DFSI). He joined that organisation in April 2012 and filled the role of Acting Chief Executive for ten months when Finance & Services joined the Treasury and Finance Cluster. In his role at DFSI John was responsible for the delivery of Corporate and Shared Services across the organisation of 7,000 employees.


Ursula Brennan
 National Leader, Public Sector and Public Policy 
DELOITTE


Ursula is the National Leader for Deloitte's public sector and public policy practice, coordinating services from across our business to support State, Federal and local government clients in delivering better outcomes for citizens. Ursula also leads Deloitte's national Business Case Centre of Excellence, providing advice to assist clients in securing funding for major infrastructure, ICT and reform programs. Ursula's previous experience includes a broad range of corporate finance engagements, including strategic reviews, mergers, acquisitions and divestments, business planning and capital raisings. Prior to joining Deloitte, Ursula spent three years with ANZ’s Merchant Banking division in London and Paris, focusing on cross border funding, and a further four years in industry as European CFO of an international company.

Payments

Only people registered to the event can access the content. Do not share login details with people who have not registered to the event

Cancellation policy - Events
  • Cancellation must be in writing and confirmed by an IPAA NSW staff member
  • Cancellation received more than 10 business days prior to the event – no penalty will be incurred
  • Cancellation received within 6-10 business days of the event – 50% of the fee is payable
  • Cancellation received less than 6 business days prior to the event – 100% of the fee is payable
  • No show – 100% of the fee is payable
  • Registrations received less than 6 business days prior to the event are non-refundable.

  • Cancellation must be in writing and confirmed by an IPAA NSW staff member

  • Cancellations are not permitted.

Note: If you do not cancel and do not attend and event or course, 100% of the fee must be paid.

Transfer policy - Events
  • All requests for transfers must be in writing
  • Substitute nominees may attend in your place where deemed appropriate; however, if a member wishes to substitute a non-member in their place the full fee will be payable.
Transfer policy - Scheduled Courses
  • All requests for transfers must be in writing
  • Your course registration can be transferred to another course without penalty if requested more than 10 business days prior to the course start date. Otherwise, the above cancellation policy applies. Transfers can only be requested when the course fee has been paid in full.
  • Transferring your registration to another person can be done at any time without penalty if nominee details are provided within a minimum of 2 business days prior to the course start date. Transferring from a member to a non-member will result in a fee increase in line with the non-member course fee.
Transfer policy - Self-paced Courses 
  • Transfers to another course are not allowed for self-paced courses.
We may in our discretion waive cancellation charges in exceptional circumstances, but we will not waive cancellation charges on account of work commitments.

Program Changes

IPAA NSW reserves the right to change programs/speakers/venue, or to cancel programs if the enrolment criteria are not met or when conditions beyond our control prevail. All registrants will be notified in the event of cancellation and their registration fee will be refunded.
