Would you deliver better results if you could communicate technical information to varying audiences? Over two half-day sessions, you will be given the knowledge to develop text that tells a story and make data meaningful for diverse audiences. This hand-on workshop includes lots of opportunities to apply your knowledge to your own data sets and develop new ways of communicating to take back to your workplace. Effective communications skills were identified by the NSW public sector leaders as one of the Skills for Success. This course builds on the foundations developed in Skills for Success: Communicating with confidence.
You will leave this course with the skills to interpret and communicate technical information for varying audiences. You will learn how to integrate data into your documents and how to produce statistical insights relevant to your work. You will complete several exercises to develop your understanding of data and will test this understanding using real datasets relevant to your own work in the NSW public sector. You will finish this course knowing you can:
