Our Skills for Success series helps you develop the foundational skills you need to succeed in your public sector career.

This series gives you the tools to thrive in our changing working environment. Designed in collaboration with your public sector leaders, our six-part series covers topics that help you do your job more successfully and knowledge to support you to manage better in your responsibilities.

IPAA’s Skills for Success webinar series is delivered for free as part of our Cluster partnership arrangements.

What will you gain?

Each one-hour workshop builds your understanding of a critical capability and gives you tips and tricks to apply your new learning to your workplace.

Our Managing change session you will explore the fundamentals of change management – what it is, why it is important in organisations, and basic change management principles and techniques which you can apply in any situation.

At this interactive session, you’ll be able to ask your questions and learn how you can develop your change management skills even further.

Kerrie specializes in conflict resolution, change management, negotiation, performance management, training and development and communication and has worked in diverse industries including health, automotive, construction, transport, finance and telecommunication.


Kerrie Yates - Full bio

Following a career in the industrial relations arena, Kerrie started her own consultancy where she works with a wide range of organisations to develop strategies around learning and development.

Her work as a mediator also provides a valuable insight into relationships in the workplace and has enabled her to continue to develop skills in conflict resolution and communication. Kerrie specializes in conflict resolution, change management, negotiation (both interpersonal and contract), performance management, training and development and communication and has worked in diverse industries including health, automotive, construction, transport, finance and telecommunication.

Kerrie’s strengths include her open and approachable facilitation style, her ability to relate to all staff within NSW Ambulance and to challenge them in the learning. She draws experience from her own working life and demonstrates how theory can be integrated with real working environments. Kerrie works on several of our current projects including the NSW Public Service Commission New Graduate and the Women in Sport Leadership program for NSW Rugby League.
