Are you a facilitator keen to ensure that your next discussion meets its objectives? Would your work benefit from a deeper understanding of the skills and techniques for facilitating effective meetings, focus groups, consultations and or any other conversations? Facilitation skills was identified by your public sector leaders as one of the Skills for Success that all public servants now need to be effective in their work. This course builds on IPAA’s foundational one hour workshop for those keen to further develop their facilitation skills. If you facilitate meetings and consultation groups of any type, this course is for you.
You will leave this course with the skills to facilitate meetings, focus groups, consultations, information forums and other similar sessions. You will take a practical look at facilitation design to ensure objectives are met and explore a range of ways to build participation and commitment to results. You will also learn the skills to deal with difficult behaviours in group discussions. You will finish this course knowing you can:
