The theme for 2017: Innovating, Emulating and Enabling: How digital transformation is changing public sector skill sets.
The annual IPAA NSW State Conference is renowned as the premier public sector conference in NSW that addresses the big challenges facing the public sector.
Attending this conference will help you understand those changes and recognise what they will mean for the capabilities and skills needed for a successful public sector career.
These three aspects of digital transformation will be explored:
Innovating – examining the opportunities that digital and data create for the public sector to work in new ways
Emulating – exploring ways for the public sector to copy or adapt digital innovations in the private or not for profit sectors
Enabling – discussing the factors that will be needed for the public sector take full advantage of the opportunities created by digital and data.
More than 20 expert speakers in nine sessions will cover topics such as “State of the State”, a rundown on where the NSW public sector currently is with digital development, digital security, big data and digital lessons learnt.
