Celebrate the important role women have played in building a strong public sector

ABOUT THIS EVENT

IPAA’s annual International Women’s Day celebration highlights the ever-increasing importance of the role women play in senior positions.  Each year the event brings together high-profile speakers from the public sector, corporate, and political worlds to share their views on the importance of women in senior leadership.

The 2020 International Women’s Day theme is #EachforEqual. At the event, leaders from the NSW, Victorian and Commonwealth public sectors will explore how to create a gender equal world and how we can collectively accelerate gender parity.

In response to customer feedback, our 2020 event will be a facilitated panel conversation exploring the careers and insights of all three speakers. There will also be an option to sit during these formalities.

WHY YOU SHOULD ATTEND

92% of respondents to our event survey rated the 2019 International Women’s Day celebration as good to excellent.

"It is a key event in the annual calendar and one I always enjoy. It was great to meet so many young women, the graduate cohort particularly, and to appreciate the diversity in that cohort." - Anonymous

Our inspirational speakers will reflect on the opportunities and challenges that exist within the public sector and share their insights for other women aspiring to leadership roles.

The event is a chance to join senior leaders – both women and men – from across the NSW public and private sectors for an evening of canapés and conversation.

All IPAA events include purposeful networking which allows you to:
  • Build relationships with the speaker/s and fellow guests
  • Develop your capabilities
  • Establish connections across the NSW public sector.
