Supporting NSW during COVID-19 with Tim Reardon and Kathrina Lo

Tim Reardon, Secretary, Department of Premier and Cabinet, and Kathrina Lo, Commissioner, Public Service Commission, discuss the NSW Public Sector’s extraordinary response to COVID-19.

ABOUT THIS EVENT

The NSW Public Sector continues to play a critical role in delivering services and advice to NSW residents and businesses during the coronavirus pandemic.

Unprecedented public challenges have required the sector to respond in extraordinary ways. From massive shifts in workforce flexibility to the rapid adoption of technology, agencies have done what they can to be agile in their approach to protecting the community and supporting frontline workers.

This special event is an opportunity to hear Tim Reardon in conversation with Kathrina Lo, reflecting on the achievements and challenges faced by the NSW Public Sector in responding to COVID-19.

Tim and Kathrina share examples of the ways the public sector is supporting the citizens of NSW from keeping essential services such as hospitals, schools, transport, law enforcement and courts open, to the provision of information and advice for individuals, communities and businesses to emergency relief, financial support and beyond.

They also look ahead at the impact that COVID-19 will have in shaping future economic, health and social opportunities and challenges across NSW.

This special event is part of IPAA NSW’s strategy to provide our members with the opportunity to directly engage with the big ideas that reshape public administration.
