Skills for Success: Navigating Ethical Dilemmas

Discover how navigating ethical dilemmas can impact your government work.

Is this event for you?

Are you faced with ethical dilemmas that require careful judgement?

Ethics provides a framework for determining what is right and wrong, guiding our choices and actions. Good decision-making lies at the core of ethical reasoning, as it involves evaluating the consequences and implications of our actions on ourselves and others.

In the public sector, we must balance stakeholder interests to make ethical decisions in the public interest. The reality is usually complex: the balancing act can involve trade-offs that aren’t clear cut.

Our Skills for Success series helps you develop the foundational skills you need to succeed in your public sector career.

Each one-hour workshop will feature a foundational-level overview of the skill and actionable strategies you can implement today to further develop your capabilities.

IPAA’s Skills for Success webinar series is delivered for free as part of our Cluster partnership arrangements.

What will you gain?

In this session you will learn the fundamentals of making ethical decisions in a dynamic environment, where public and political expectations aren’t always aligned.

You will take away tools and techniques to apply ethics in the workplace and enhance your understanding of the trade-offs you make (implicitly and explicitly!) in your personal and professional life.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to develop your skills and enhance your career.

At this interactive session, you’ll be able to ask questions and learn how enhance your ethical reasoning skills.
