Shaun Chau is a Director of Cyan Ventures. an advisory and project development company, focused on accelerating the deployment of sustainability technologies at 3-5x faster than the current pace. He has over 20 years working on sustainability, leading work on a range of government and private sector projects related to the energy market. Shaun was previously part of BCG’s Energy and Renewables leadership team in Europe and led one of the largest transformations of a global utility. He was a Managing Director at Accenture ANZ where he led the sustainability practice. He was on founding team of Tony Blair’s Africa Governance Initiative; and an advisor to Presidents in Liberia and Rwanda and the Finance Minister in Nigeria. He started his career as an analyst in Number 10 Downing Street where he developed some of UK’s initial climate policy. He has a masters in Public Policy (Oxford) University and a Bachelors Degree in Arts/Law (UNSW, university medal).

He has a mission to bring the best of technology globally to serve New South Wales and is currently leading a worldwide study on excellence in Government in the Digital Age.
