Project Management Fundamentals

Learn practical project management tools and techniques for your next project.

Regardless of your current role or specialisation, you will be involved in multiple projects throughout your NSW public sector career.

This is why project management is such a highly sought-after skill and why this one day course will give you the foundations to set yourself up for success.

You will learn practical project management tools and techniques which you can readily apply to your own public sector work.

You will also discover how to identify project goals, scope projects, manage risk, communicate with stakeholders, and effectively close a project.

If you’re a project team member, a manager of small projects or new to project management, this is a critical capability to develop.

Project management was identified by the NSW public sector leaders as one of the Skills for Success. This course builds on the foundations developed in Skills for Success: Outcomes based project management held in March 2022 and Skills for Success: Managing Change in 2023.
