Tracey Taylor is a values and purpose driven Chief People Officer and Deputy Secretary of Corporate Services at Transport for NSW.

Tracey joined Transport for NSW in 2018 as the Director of People, and in 2019 she led the integration of the organisation’s corporate functions to ensure a people-focused and seamless customer and community experience.  

In 2021, Tracey was appointed Chief People Officer at Transport for NSW and since February 2022, she has been double hatting as the Deputy Secretary Corporate Services. Tracey’s strength in developing and maintaining meaningful relationships and her extensive experience as a leader have been instrumental in the delivery of strategic goals and addressing agency specific challenges across the Transport cluster. The collaborative culture that Tracey fosters empowers her team to successfully engage and partner with business leaders across Transport’s services and infrastructure projects, which reaches over 30,000 employees. 

With more than 20 years multisector executive experience in HR, Tracey connects the links between people and performance to execute effective strategies that embed sustainable cultural change and employee experience at an enterprise level. Tracey recognises the importance of an engaged workforce and is driven to solve complex organisational issues from a position of empathy, while also implementing and driving people solutions that achieve organisational objectives and strategic cost reduction.

Tracey’s passion for supporting the development of people is demonstrated by her focus on cultivating a workplace culture of diversity, flexibility, inclusion and innovation. She always strives to ensure the recognition and reward of talent and to deliver a high performing culture and organisational strategy that adapts to new technologies and disruptive externalities.

When Tracey’s not working, she prioritises spending time with her husband and two boys where they reside on the Northern Beaches. She also enjoys hiking, reading and spending time with family and friends.
