Lawful, fair, transparent and accountable decision-making underpins public confidence, but what does that look like in the everyday work of government?
In this one-hour online conversation with Paul Miller, NSW Ombudsman, you will explore:
• the purpose and functions of the NSW Ombudsman
• how independent oversight contributes to better public administration
• the responsibilities shared across the public sector in upholding accountability
• what the next chapter of public sector integrity and oversight may look like
What You Will Gain?
• Practical insight into how complaints function as intelligence
• A deeper understanding of how the Ombudsman’s work improves systems, and its work supporting agencies, not
just resolves individual matters
• How agencies and organisation can deliver fairness, transparency and sound decision-making
• A forward-looking perspective on how public trust will be built — and tested — in the years ahead
