Power BI empowers users to visualise data clearly and make informed decisions across their organisation.

This course provides hands-on experience in connecting, transforming and visualising data, enabling you to build interactive dashboards and reports that deliver real business insights.

This course is ideal for anyone looking to present data in a user-friendly and impactful way using interactive dashboards and reports—particularly those who work with data from multiple sources and need to turn it into actionable insights.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

You will finish this course knowing you can:

  • Understand the fundamentals of business intelligence and how to navigate Power BI
  • Perform data modelling, including calculated tables and working with time-based data
  • Build a range of visualisations including charts, tables, matrixes and maps
  • Create and modify interactive dashboards
  • Publish and share your reports and dashboards

 

Course Prerequisites

  • Intermediate Excel skills, including understanding how to use charts and pivot tables
  • No prior Power BI experience required, though some familiarity is recommended
  • Download and install the latest version of Power BI Desktop before the session
  • Use a working computer with a microphone, speaker and up-to-date web browser (Google Chrome recommended)
  • A second screen is recommended to allow simultaneous viewing of the training and hands-on practice
