Probity in Practice

Do you need to make decisions, establish processes, and behave with integrity within your workplace?

IS THIS COURSE RIGHT FOR YOU?

Probity ensures decisions are made, and seen to be made, fairly. It upholds public trust, reduces corruption risk, and supports equal opportunity in procurement and funding. This workshop aligns with the NSW Government’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and ethical leadership.

This practical workshop explores how public sector professionals can uphold and embed probity within their day-to-day work. Probity, defined as integrity, honesty, and ethical conduct, is essential to fair, transparent, and accountable decision-making, especially in procurement, contracting, financial administration, and stakeholder engagement.

Drawing on NSW-specific legislation, case examples, and guidance from the NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), participants will build confidence applying ethical principles and identifying probity risks in their workplace.
