WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

You will leave this half day course with the skills to support others while maintaining boundaries and embracing effective self-care strategies.

You will explore tools and techniques which will improve the way you communicate in all aspects of your life and ensure that you are at your best when supporting others.

You will finish this course knowing you can:

  • navigate hard and distressing emotions.
  • sit with and name emotions.
  • practise advanced communication skills including deep listening, open questions, summarising, empathy and validation.
  • recognise and avoid communication and empathy blockers.
  • apply the techniques you have learned to practical work scenarios.
  • understand how to maintain boundaries.
  • develop strategies for self-care.
