Grow your leadership by learning from others and helping someone else succeed.
Expressions of Interest are now open for the September-November intake.
Exclusive to IPAA NSW members, the Professional Mentoring Program is a structured three month online experience designed to develop future public sector leaders through a unique "give one, take one" mentoring model.
Every participant is encouraged to take on two roles. Preference is given to people who do. You'll be matched with an experienced mentor to support your own professional growth, while also mentoring another participant, giving you the opportunity to develop the coaching, communication and leadership skills that great leaders need.
By experiencing mentoring from both perspectives, you'll build greater self awareness, confidence and leadership capability while expanding your professional network across the public sector.
Delivered in partnership with Beaumont People, the program combines award winning mentoring methodology with practical resources, guided activities and ongoing support throughout the three month experience.
Why join the program?
Leadership isn't developed through training alone. It grows through meaningful conversations, reflection and real experience.
The Professional Mentoring Program allows you to experience both sides of the mentoring relationship, helping you develop the skills to lead while continuing to learn from others.
Throughout the program you'll receive:
-
A mentor matched to support your professional goals and development
-
A mentee to support as they develop their own capability
-
Online induction and practical training for both mentoring roles
-
Guided resources and activities throughout the program
-
Development tools to support reflection and learning
-
Ongoing support across the three month program
-
Opportunities to build lasting professional connections across the public sector
